Double Oops!

I just messed up – hard to believe, I know. A story called “Oops!” was here. Unfortunately, I posted that at the beginning of my blog and while working on something else, accidently reposted it today. While I was deleting it from today’s spot a comment appeared – (which I managed to lose) so I’ve messed up twice. I apologize. I’m learning as I go here…

My husband snapped this photo this morning to show how tall the hollyhocks have gotten. I am 5'10"- the hollyhocks are over 6'. I didn't know there were any that grew that tall! They are waning now (and I haven't been keeping up with the deadheading) but we're still enjoying them.
My husband also told me that he thought I looked pretty cute – for an old lady… Honesty – 100%. Tact 0%.

IMG_2151 IMG_2149 IMG_2147 IMG_2145 IMG_2144There is a lovely park in Pinedale, Wyoming – a great place to stop for a picnic or just to walk through the area. One thing that makes it special is the stream running through it with lots of trees and shrubs. We got quite a surprise when we came around a corner along that stream! Momma and baby moose. Such a treat! We backed away very quietly and carefully, but not before I got some cool photos.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming has a wonderful town square – and it’s actually used for events. At Christmas it is heavenly with all the lights, especially in the elk antler arches at all four corners. (Elk antlers fall off naturally.) At this time of year a Farmer’s Continue reading →

018We’re hanging on tight to every minute we have with the little hummers. We’ve probably gotten up to 35-40 now and they really come out to play toward dusk. They like to perch on the hollyhocks or a thorny little tree in the back yard. I don’t know what they like that mean one, but they do. They’ll probably Continue reading →

002Never buy end of the season flowers that have lost their tags. You might wind up with all white (and one red) ones! They are flourishing though. I’ll have to transplant some white ones elsewhere and replace with some colored ones for variety.
